Assuming you buy a house for 50 lakhs and get a rent of 10000, it takes 41.6 years to recover the money without accounting for inflation. Karma kaali builder manchodu kaakapothe building quality tagging resale pedhaga peragaka povachu.

Am I missing something here? Why do people buy flats unless they want to live there themselves?

Did you mean land or house or flat?

I am buying lands, would be willing to buy houses or but can't convince myself with flats/apartments. For the reasons specified above.

Problem with lands is that at least where I looked the prices did not drop that much despite the ongoing crisis. So short term lo maree ekkuva grow avvaka povachu, as our real-estate is already bloated. In any case, I think buying land is the best investment considering

a) we have the worlds largest young population, at least half of which are stupid enough to make many kids [wink] and our population is foretasted to grow in the foreseeable decades. So veellandariki housing, office spaces, industrial land ila chala land avasaram...so demand will only grow

b) Economy sarva naasanam ai, market as we know crush aipoina kuda land unte edho okati cultivate cheskovachu.

---------

c) Gold is another best option but, currently price chala ekkuva undhi, I am hoping it will climb down soon enough.
---------

Meeru touch chesina Organic forming or Palm Trees etc meedha naaku kuda interest undhi but didn't get time to do proper research. Should we form a PAC and share the work and resultS?

For long-term investments if you have a land of 1 acre try teakwood.in 1 acre you can grow 600 plants .after 20 years you will get

Minimum 600*20000 rs
Maximum 600*40000 rs(as per current prices) if it changes after 20 years you may get high also.

You might need to work in the first 4-5 years and also investment in the first 5 years most probably after that it's just very less work but you should have the water.
