Appati US population 130 mn ayite 200 mn tickets ela potai?

Sare 200 mn anukundam. Worldwide Titanic still have an edge anukuntunna. Titanic domestic gross kanna 2.5 times undi foreign gross where the average ticket price is less than US. Which means atleast triple footfalls outside US vachundali bare minimum.

Still, worldwide Titanic ki edge untundi anukuntunna overall footfalls lo. Not sure how GWW fared outside US.

Still you can't be sure. It depends on where it got the major chunk of the foreign collections and the average ticket price there. UK lo $1 mn  ravadaniki, India lo $1 mn ravadaniki footfalls lo difference chaala untundi ga. You can't just say based on the Gross as the standard deviation of ticket prices is more.

It made 221 million its first year in limited release and then 285 million over its next 3 years in general release to bring its initial 4 year total to 506 million globally. Combining those 4 years it sold 60 million tickets. So over four years it sold 60 million tickets and made $506 million in the US. Let's compare that to Iron Man 3 that sold roughly 40 million tickets and made 380 million in its first four weeks in the US or The Avengers that sold 50 million and made 532 million and all of a sudden Gone with the Wind isn't looking all that impressive. So where did the rest of Gone with the Wind's gross come from? That would be the eight re-releases in 1947, 1954, 1961, 1967, 1971, 1974, 1989, and 1998 which earned the movie its additional 2.8 billion dollars.

James Horner should be credited for Avatar n Titanic. His soulful music took these movies to another level. Unfortunately he passed away, it would be tough to recreate such magic. Have to wait n see

Avatar will definitely have a re-release before it's sequel release so that the No1 crown will be snatched back from Avengers and they will use that as trumpcard for Avatar 2 marketing
